February

We met our first baby lambs in February.   A friend’s sheep gave birth to twin boys over a very long weekend where the mother almost didn’t survive.  Happily she is doing fine now.   Incidentally, they are Shetlands, which I think is wonderful.

I managed to find a lot of knitting time and almost finished the Tea Leaves cardi.  I finished Jay’s birthday hat and have started another one.  I hunted down and found the perfect yarn for my Big Stitch Rug which I’m thrilled with, although I seem to drop stitches very easily, and very often.

February was a social  month with friends coming over for dinner, and lots of play-dates for Heather during the week off school.   There’s been a good deal of ice skating as well as her second ever skiing lesson.  She mastered the tow rope.  Valentine’s was sweet and finally Winter seems to have arrived.  Lastly, I had my eyes tested and now I have glasses which is taking some getting used to.

  1. Your winter sounds like ours (minus the farm animals). Love the photo montage.

You wondered about the catalog I was looking at – Knit Picks. I just can’t get over the prices.

Happy knitting (and crocheting) from Minnesota!!
